Distant Hearts

This version of the game is part of a study. By playing it, you help me collect anonymous gameplay data, which I can analyze to better understand how players progress through the puzzles and where they get stuck.

                                            

Story

You are a wandering spirit, roaming through the open fields. Along the way, you encounter creatures unlike yourself. Though rarely alone, they stand just out of reach, their paths blocked by heavy stones or locked gates.

You feel their deep longing, so you set out to help them clear away the obstacles that keep them apart. With each reunion, your heart and theirs fill with warmth.  Carrying that light, you continue on your journey.

                                            

Gameplay

Distant Hearts is a small puzzle game created for a university course and later expanded as part of my bachelor’s thesis. 

You play as a spirit, seeking a way to reunite the creatures you encounter on your journey. Fly over to a creature to take control of it, then guide it through the levels.
